National Review Online column sees arrest of OK-3 as part of attacks on initiative process
August 1st, 2008 by KathleenRoger Clegg published a nice piece about BAMN and other leftist attacks on the initiative process at National Review Online the other day.
BAMN—which stands for By Any Means Necessary—is one of the most abrasive leftist organizations, harassing and intimidating citizens petitioning to end racial and gender preferences. The group has also filed a number of lawsuits to encumber the campaigns and prevent a vote of the people on the issue.
Clegg fears that their tactics will only get worse and notes that they already have in certain places, like Oklahoma with the arrest of the Oklahoma 3.
As Clegg concludes, “The Left, as everyone knows, favors democracy, power to the people, and nondiscrimination—except, of course, when it doesn’t.”
