Preliminary hearing moved back a day; Oklahoma City event on initiative process a big success
November 16th, 2008 by KathleenThe State of Oklahoma again postponed the OK 3’s reliminary hearing, but this time by only one day. Originally scheduled for Monday, it will take place on Tuesday, November 18th.
The “Reforming the Reform Process” event, held Saturday in Oklahoma City by Oklahomans for Initiative Rights, as the OK 3 was preparing for their preliminary hearing, was a great success, with more than 72 attendees, far more than anticipated.
The Daily Oklahoman published a favorable lead editorial mentioning the event. We were pleased to see in attendance some key people who can help move the I & R process forward in Oklahoma. Clearly, there is real energy building on this issue.
Two of the speakers, Sen. Randy Brogdon and Bob Sullivan, are considered possible GOP gubernatorial candidates in 2010—likely to run against none other than Democrat AG Drew Edmondson.
The event was recorded on video and audio, so we hope to post it on our site soon so you can view it for yourself.
